G. Edward Evans assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer of Inteliquent on April 1, 2011. Mr. Evans formerly served as CEO of Stelera Wireless (and continues to serve as its Chairman), a leader in deploying broadband services to rural markets throughout the United States. Previously, Mr. Evans was CEO and Chairman of Syniverse Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: SVR).
Mr. Evans was elected Syniverse's Chairman of the Board in February 2005, and remained Chairman until 2007, after having served as a director since February 2002. He served as CEO from February 2002 until January 2006, at which time he stepped down from the position. Prior to Syniverse, Mr. Evans was with Dobson Communications Corporation, first as President of its cellular subsidiaries and then as President and CEO of the organization.
Today Mr. Evans serves on the boards of Solix (which he chairs), CTIA The Wireless Association, Carolina West Wireless, and the Network Reliability and Interoperability Commission, an advisory committee to the FCC. He holds a master's degree in Business Administration from Georgia State University.
Kurt Abkemeier Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President
Kurt Abkemeier was appointed Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President effective January 20, 2014. Prior to joining Inteliquent, Mr. Abkemeier served as the Vice President of Finance and Treasurer of Cbeyond, Inc. from 2005 to 2012. Prior to Cbeyond, Inc., Mr. Abkemeier was the Director of Finance and Strategic Planning at AirGate PCS, Inc., a regional wireless telecommunications service provider. Mr. Abkemeier also held various senior management positions within telecommunications-related companies and was a senior sell-side research analyst at J.P. Morgan & Co. analyzing telecommunications companies. Mr. Abkemeier holds a Bachelor of Science degree in applied economics from Cornell University.
John Schoder Executive Vice President of Sales, Product & Marketing
John Schoder is the Company's Executive Vice President of Sales, Product & Marketing. He joined Inteliquent in 2013 and has approximately 20 years of telecommunications experience.
Mr. Schoder previously served as the Company's Senior Vice President for Voice Products. Prior to joining Inteliquent, Mr. Schoder held various positions at Level 3 Communications, including serving as a Vice President of Wholesale Long Distance Services and as Senior Director, Voice Product Management. His professional history also includes five years at Qwest/LCI among other telecom companies.
Mr. Schoder holds a Bachelor of Science degree in History from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service and a Master of Arts degree in International Economics from The Johns Hopkins University.
John Bullock Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President
As Inteliquent’s Chief Technology Officer, Mr. Bullock has responsibility for the architecture design, implementation and operations of Inteliquent’s IP and voice switching infrastructure. Mr. Bullock joined Neutral Tandem (now Inteliquent) in 2004 and built the Tandem switching network from serving two markets with a few million minutes a month to now serving nearly the entire US footprint and switching nearly 11 billion minutes a month.
Prior to joining Inteliquent, Bullock held various technical leadership roles with MCI. As Vice President Program and Project Management he managed the global implementation of new products and services such as IP VPN, Private IP, Voice over IP (MCI Advantage) and other products and services. As VP Engineering and Implementation Bullock was responsible for all LD and Local Switching, long haul and local transport and the Core IP backbone infrastructure deployments for MCI.
With over 30 years of telecommunications experience Bullock has previously held positions as Vice President Network Provisioning and Capacity Management WorldCom, Vice President Network Services MFS, Director Engineering MFS, and General Manager Network Services Sprint/CenTel.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in telecommunications management from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois.
John Harrington Senior Vice President, Litigation, Regulatory & Human Resources
John Harrington joined Inteliquent in April 2011. As Senior Vice President, Litigation, Regulatory & Human Resources, Mr. Harrington is responsible for all of Inteliquent's litigation and regulatory advocacy, as well as its human resources function.
Prior to joining Inteliquent, Mr. Harrington was a partner at Jenner & Block in Chicago. While at Jenner & Block, Mr. Harrington co-chaired the firm's Communications Law practice and served as Inteliquent's primary outside litigation and regulatory counsel.
Mr. Harrington received his undergraduate degrees from Northwestern University and received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Indiana University's Maurer School of Law.
David A. Lopez Senior Vice President, Voice Sales
Mr. Lopez is the Senior Vice President of Voice Sales and joined Inteliquent in 2003 since its inception. He possesses more than 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry.
As Senior Vice President of Voice Sales, Mr. Lopez oversees the management and growth of all the Company's voice sales. He has secured agreements with nearly every national wireless carrier and over 100 other competitive carriers and service providers. For nearly 20 years, Mr. Lopez has provided account management responsibilities at Centel, Sprint and Focal Communications Corporation.
In his most recent position, Mr. Lopez provided sales management for Focal's largest and most successful market from 1997 to 2003. During his tenures at Centel and Sprint from 1992 to 1997, Mr. Lopez held national account positions with responsibility for local service, Centrex and PBX equipment to Fortune 500 companies.
Mr. Lopez holds a B.S. in Marketing from Illinois State University.
Richard Monto General Counsel & Corporate Secretary
Richard Monto joined Inteliquent in 2007 and has over a decade of telecommunications law experience. Prior to becoming Inteliquent's General Counsel and Secretary, he served as Assistant General Counsel, and was involved in all of Inteliquent's ongoing legal and regulatory matters.
Before joining Inteliquent, Richard held senior legal positions at various companies. He served as the Chief Legal Officer of Universal Access Global Holdings, Inc., a Chicago based wholesale telecommunications carrier. Richard also worked at MCI, where he was responsible for the provision of legal support for sales to MCI's largest enterprise users in the Midwest region. Richard began his career at the law firm of Sonnenschein, Nath and Rosenthal.
Mr. Monto has an undergraduate degree in Russian and Eastern European Studies from the University of Michigan and a J.D. from the Boston University School of Law.
Ian Neale Senior Vice President, Global Voice Services
Ian Neale joined Inteliquent in 2009. As Senior Vice President of Global Voice Services, Mr. Neale is responsible for the management and development of our voice services portfolio as well as our long term product strategy.
Prior to joining Inteliquent, Ian was President of Telecom New Zealand’s California based US Wholesale Subsidiary, providing Wholesale International Long Distance Voice services, as well as Undersea Cable bandwidth leases and Internet Transit service. Mr. Neale brings over 30 years of telecommunications business and product experience to Inteliquent.
He holds a Bachelor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Degree (Hons) from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand.
Brett Scorza Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President
As Inteliquent’s Chief Information Officer, Mr. Scorza has responsibility for the Information Technology organization. Mr. Scorza joined Neutral Tandem (now Inteliquent) in 2004 and was instrumental in building the infrastructure for the billing, reporting, and back office functions from the ground up.
Prior to joining Inteliquent, Brett held various technical leadership roles within MFS and Focal Communications. Mr. Scorza brings over 20 years of telecommunications experience to Inteliquent in the IT arena.
He holds a Bachelor of Science, Electrical Engineering from University of Illinois/Urbana.
Jason Ewing Director, Corporate Development
Jason leads Inteliquent’s efforts to explore, evaluate, and execute on various corporate development opportunities. Jason brings broad corporate development experience spanning public and private companies, strategic acquirers, new ventures, private equity groups and international businesses with a focus on achieving growth through M&A initiatives. Before joining Inteliquent, Jason was a Managing Director with Stevenson & Company, a Chicago based boutique investment bank. His telecommunications experience includes working at AT&T Business Services and Frontier Communications. Jason has an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois, with a major in Finance and a B.A. from Indiana University. He is on the Board of Directors for Eclipsecurity, LLC and RELCO Finance, Inc.
